According to union home minister Amit Shah, the Narendra Modi government is using technology to preserve the information found in India's historical books and manuscripts for the future.
Shah made this statement when unveiling the Kala Vaibhav virtual museum and the Veidic heritage site, both created by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
"The Modi government is using technology to preserve the wisdom contained in India's old books and manuscripts for the future. Today marked the official opening of the Vedic Heritage Portal created by @ignca Delhi with this aim.
He tweeted in Hindi, "With this, the new generation will be able to carry on the tradition and understanding of Vedas and Upanishads."
According to the home minister, the virtual museum, which is centered on 64 different arts, would help people from across the world learn more about Indian music, theatre, painting, architecture, and their country's rich history and illustrious culture.
